what we have

It is not the number of gifts we get for in the material world no matter how many gifts we get we will ALWAYS want more....and happiness will only last a moment but true gifts of happiness are learning to enjoy the gifts given and making the most of what we already have.

quote of the week

PROMISE yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your PEACE of mind. Look at the sunny side of everything and make your OPTIMISM come true. THINK  only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the BEST. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the FUTURE. Give so much time to the improvement of your self that you have no time to criticize others. Live in the FAIITH that the whole world is on your side so long as you are TRUE to the best that is in YOU!            --Christian D. Larson

Holiday Moment real life

my holiday baking experience...Dave enjoys sugar cookies with frosting and i thought i can do that so it would begin to feel like Christmas. so i made them and then had to run off to the kids Christmas program came back was tired and forgot to put them away so they were on a plate covered at the back of the counter. so this am my lack of sleep caught up to me and i just wanted to sleep in made it till 8 am then i hear a crash sound and wondered what it was???? our beautiful huge 8 month old golden retriever decided the Christmas cookies were for her just as she was upset when i left to take kids to school the other day and chewed up the ornaments we made....oey vay.

time for atc challenge

click on the post title to join me--Artist Trading Cards (or ATCs) are miniature works of art about the same size as modern baseball cards, or 2 ½ X 3 ½ inches (63 mm X 89 mm), small enough to fit inside standard card-collector pockets, sleeves or sheets. The ATC movement developed out of the mail art movement and has its origins in Switzerland. Cards are produced in various media, including dry media (pencils, pens, markers, etc.), wet media (watercolor, acrylic paints, etc.), paper media (in the form of collage, papercuts, found objects, etc.) or even metals or cloth. AND NOW DIgiTal! The cards are usually traded or exchanged rather than sold.

NOw the fun and that is what they are-FUN. they are great for journaling, quotes, to add as accents to layouts or cards....also to do a storyboard mixing pictures and ATCs so i think we can do these for a few months.

so this month i think it would be fun to have ATC journal cards to go on our Holiday Layouts. OR an ATC we could print out and use as an ornament...OR an ATC with something we wish we had done in 2010 and do it in 2011!!!!
