i decided to use prismacolor pencils--only my second time using them....
thanks jane davenport's school of creative courage....i just wish there was no wrinkle in the paper.

question i am putting together some mixed media kits....things that really could be used on any project....my question do you want lots of random stuff to try (cost more but more variety with out having to shop for it all) [$30-$40 range] or would you prefer project kits (geared toward a project or two with samples and only a little extras--cheaper)[ $15-$25 range]

a practice piece....april 20, 2012 it is not perfect but i am pleased with my progress.

my journey

 I am from Cheyenne Wyoming USA, the windiest place on earth.... i was/am a stay at home mom working odd jobs along the way when we needed extra $ for our children--I have 4 children (3 girls and 1 boy) that are grown, 6 grandkids i have 2-3 nights and 3-4 days out of the week. my creative journey started long ago-- i taught myself to do decorative painting 25 years ago and then designed, cut projects and taught others to paint in my basement....i have created things ever since and before.....i owned a scrapbook store in Montana but lost it to a fire 3 years ago and that changed my journey and got me to search my heart which lead me to online classes to become a designer which lead me to art online classes that opened my artist heart again.......so i have to get comfortable saying i am a designer and artist cause the mean voice in my head tries to say i am not. an interesting story when Jeanne Griffin Oliver asked us (in creatively made class) to find a friend to talk to about our gifts i did not have anyone but when my dad died and i had to go to Texas last week i went to see a high school friend that i re connected with on facebook....I was surprised by what she said "that she was not surprised at all that i was becoming an artist and designer because she saw that potential all those years ago" WOW when i did not understand my heart....when i went to college my heart was pulled to art but i just had no one to help me understand that and i only listened off and on over the years. so 33 years later i am listening full strength!

CLASS Coming Soon-- different Ways to use thrift store books or maybe some off your own book shelf showing not one not 2 but 3 or MORE ways to take apart and put together again to use to record your Moments along the journey or give as gifts.  the art girl is jeanne oliver's and i put it on my altered book we will not be using that art but it is about some of the other finishes i did on this one .....

these are my samples of some art books i have created out of  novels that have been discarded and bought for 50 cents to a dollar.....more ways to use these books and doodling and backgrounds will be taught in the upcoming class.

these canvases and the art journal pages are samples of some of my swirly doodles that i will be sharing with you in the Life stories class.

and then there are background we will practice a few just because we can.  or you can just use your scrapbook paper.

hello artsy world.....because my allergies are so bad and i want to get back to my design interests i am selling my vulcanzier (1200.00 value) ....it is used to make red rubber stamps. and the 20 plates of images for $500.00 or best offer. used to make stamps in the pictures.... theses are only a few of the stamp possibilties.....
