Artist Trading Cards Nov 2010
I am hosting a challenge at Designs in Digital (where you can find my digital kits). come and join the fun!
the official definition of ATC--
Artist Trading Cards (or ATCs) are miniature works of art about the same size as modern baseball cards, or 2 ½ X 3 ½ inches (63 mm X 89 mm), small enough to fit inside standard card-collector pockets, sleeves or sheets. The ATC movement developed out of the mail art movement and has its origins in Switzerland. Cards are produced in various media, including dry media (pencils, pens, markers, etc.), wet media (watercolor, acrylic paints, etc.), paper media (in the form of collage, papercuts, found objects, etc.) or even metals or cloth. AND NOW DIgiTal! The cards are usually traded or exchanged rather than sold.
NOw the fun and that is what they are-FUN. they are great for journaling, quotes, to add as accents to layouts or cards....also to do a storyboard mixing pictures and ATCs so i think we can do these for a few months.
I have several ideas in my head and i just want to do them all but we must start some where? ....how about since this is the month of thanksgiving....the obvious would be something we are thankful for ....but how about we just have to use some form of the word thank, thanks, thankful, gratitude attitude, etc....we can create and share with each other then we can print one for each family member and have them each write something they are thankful for on the back put on a ring and save to read! (one year my daughter said she was grateful for flushing toliets we still smile every thanksgiving)
Do you have friends that like ATC please invite them to join us!!!!
